Lenz Marketing: A Commercial Client Success Story

February 26, 2026
When Lenz, Plumb Works’s long-time marketing agency of record, chose its new headquarters on Decatur Square, they didn’t have to look far for a plumbing partner that could get the job done right — literally right down the street.

The building at 545 North McDonough Street is a true piece of Decatur history. Built in 1922 and designed by famed architect William Sayward, it was originally Decatur’s first modern, fire-proof structure — and over the decades has housed banks, the original Decatur Library, legal offices, and retailers. Throughout its nearly century-long life, this cornerstone of the Square has witnessed everything from the arrival of MARTA to the raising of the 1996 Olympic Torch just steps away from its front door.

So when it came time to bring this historic building into the modern age, plumbing included, both Lenz and Plumb Works knew they were partnering with a team whose depth of experience matches the stature of the property.

A Project That Needed Both Respect and Expertise

Working on a building with so much character and so many original systems isn’t like a standard commercial plumbing install. It takes seasoned professionals who understand how to preserve the integrity of a historic structure while upgrading it to meet today’s demands. That’s exactly what Plumb Works delivered.

From assessing older infrastructure to planning efficient new plumbing lines, the team approached each phase with precision, ensuring that the building’s past was honored even as its future was built.

Why This Job Matters

For spaces like the new Lenz headquarters, plumbing isn’t just about pipes and fixtures — it’s about creating a reliable foundation for daily operations. Whether it’s ensuring proper water flow for modern office use or updating systems hidden beneath the historic façade, the work Plumb Works completed ensures that tomorrow’s plumbing needs are met without compromising yesterday’s architecture.

In projects like this, commercial plumbing becomes a critical partner in reviving a building’s potential — helping great businesses thrive in spaces that matter to the community.

Thanks to a Job Well Done

Plumb Works owner Jerome Sabol and Service Manager Josh Czerniak led the project with the kind of seasoned know-how that comes from decades of experience tackling complex commercial jobs across metro Atlanta. Their leadership ensured that every technical challenge was met with thoughtful solutions — and every timeline stayed on track.

Whether it’s preserving local history or keeping commerce flowing, Plumb Works is proud to be the team businesses rely on when exceptional plumbing matters most.

Nothing puts the cold chill on the festive holiday season like a frozen or burst pipe. Frozen pipes are bad enough, but when they burst, the problem worsens and can easily lead to flood damage requiring costly repairs. This all-too-common occurrence affects an estimated 250,000 homes in America each year. And Georgia may be a hot bed for frozen pipes. According to a State Farm report released in 2023, Georgia topped the list of frozen pipe-related losses at $100 million (from August 2002-August 2023.) Plumb Works remains your go-to source for frozen or burst pipe calls in our service area. However, there are some simple tips you can apply to protect pipes in cold weather and help avoid a house call. Before the thermometer dips below freezing – that’s 32 degrees Fahrenheit – do the following:
