Belinda & Josh on WSB Radio

Plumb Work’s service manager, Josh Czerniak, made an appearance on WSB's radio show “Atlanta Living” with host Belinda Skelton. Throughout the episode he shared tips listeners can use to ensure their home’s plumbing systems are working properly while away during the summer months.

To prevent any issues with running toilets and leaky faucets while on vacation, Josh recommends knowing where the water shut-off valve in your residence is located. Turn off the water supply prior to going on vacation to guard against any water leakage.

Additionally, Josh highlighted the benefits of automatic shut-off valves, which not only help monitor water usage but also alert homeowners to any unusual activity or potential leaks. With Memorial Day just around the corner, Josh encouraged homeowners to conduct a thorough plumbing inspection to avoid any issues. Josh highlighted Plumb Work's Academy, which offers step-by-step how-to tutorials on their website, making it easy to address small plumbing issues quickly and effectively.

To close the show, Josh provided expert advice to listeners on a variety of plumbing-related topics, including water pressure, Toto commodes, planting over sewer lines, gas fire pits, and outdoor kitchens.

Nothing puts the cold chill on the festive holiday season like a frozen or burst pipe. Frozen pipes are bad enough, but when they burst, the problem worsens and can easily lead to flood damage requiring costly repairs. This all-too-common occurrence affects an estimated 250,000 homes in America each year. And Georgia may be a hot bed for frozen pipes. According to a State Farm report released in 2023, Georgia topped the list of frozen pipe-related losses at $100 million (from August 2002-August 2023.) Plumb Works remains your go-to source for frozen or burst pipe calls in our service area. However, there are some simple tips you can apply to protect pipes in cold weather and help avoid a house call. Before the thermometer dips below freezing – that’s 32 degrees Fahrenheit – do the following:
