Jerome Sabol appears on

On February 5th, Plumb Works’ owner Jerome Sabol made a guest appearance on WSB Radio’s “Lenz on Business” and shared about some new projects his team is working on.

Jerome discussed the history of the local, family-owned company, innovations they’re pursuing to better meet their customers' needs, and how customer satisfaction is the number one priority. “Lenz on Business” host, Jon Waterhouse, asked questions about the importance of customer service and communication, the value of a business coach, navigating the current employment landscape, Plumb Works’ apprentice program for training new plumbers, the company’s new trenchless digging services, and Plumb Works Academy, a free, how-to online video course.

“We try to stay the old tried and true: do good work, be honest with people,” said Jerome when asked about how he’s grown the business. “Really the best advertisement is word of mouth. It's so good to go to a customer’s house (you’ve been working at) for 10 years. There’s trust between you and the homeowner.”

Later in the program, the two discussed Plumb Works’ efforts to hire master plumbers and bring on candidates interested in the apprenticeship program. Jerome shared why Plumb Works is a great place for work/life balance and company culture, and a good alternative for people who might not be interested in office work.

“We know everyone has families and needs family time, so we try to work with that,” he explained. “We try to give the best benefits we can, which I think we do for a small business. (This includes) a 401k with matching.”

Additionally, Jerome emphasized the importance of creating camaraderie among employees. This includes organizing company events, such as a recent deep-sea fishing trip to Florida.

Listen to the show to learn about Jerome’s focus on company culture and how Plumb Works remains the premier plumbing service for the metro and greater Atlanta area.

“Lenz on Business” is presented by Lenz Marketing. Tune in live on Saturday nights at 6 p.m. on News 95.5, AM 750 WSB, and WSBRadio.com.

Nothing puts the cold chill on the festive holiday season like a frozen or burst pipe. Frozen pipes are bad enough, but when they burst, the problem worsens and can easily lead to flood damage requiring costly repairs. This all-too-common occurrence affects an estimated 250,000 homes in America each year. And Georgia may be a hot bed for frozen pipes. According to a State Farm report released in 2023, Georgia topped the list of frozen pipe-related losses at $100 million (from August 2002-August 2023.) Plumb Works remains your go-to source for frozen or burst pipe calls in our service area. However, there are some simple tips you can apply to protect pipes in cold weather and help avoid a house call. Before the thermometer dips below freezing – that’s 32 degrees Fahrenheit – do the following:
