Plumb Works owner
Jerome Sabol made an anticipated return to WSB’s radio show "Lenz on Business" with host Jon Waterhouse. The award-winning owner of one of Atlanta’s leading plumbing companies, Sabol shared his summer business strategies and shed light on common challenges facing the plumbing industry on the June 4 episode of the weekly business talk show.
Sabol discussed Plumb Works' origins, shared his personal story of how he came to acquire the company, and how his professional growth has shaped his current role. He gave insight into what it takes to effectively and successfully run a plumbing company. Additionally, Sabol elaborated on the various obstacles many companies are currently dealing with, such as supply chain issues, inflation, and much more.
“Pricing increases have been seen everywhere across the board and there are still labor work issues as well,” said Sabol. “Those are the two biggest issues we have seen and have experienced, and it's probably going to be here for a while.”
As a company, Plumb Works emphasizes a healthy work and life balance. With an ongoing work shortage, Sabol shared how the company is able to continue supporting staff through scheduling tactics. He also delved into the launch of trenchless technology and how it is beneficial to Plumb Works and customers.
“Running a successful company requires a lot of communication and teamwork,” said Sabol. “We have a system of mutual support among our staff, where everyone steps in to help when needed.”
He closed the show by providing a glimpse into the ever-evolving plumbing industry and shared how the industry has transformed since his early days. Listen to the show to learn more about how Jerome Sabol continues to successfully lead Plumb Works.
