On January 30th, Plumb Works’ owner Jerome Sabol made a guest appearance on WSB Radio’s “Lenz on Business” to discuss the company’s approach to business during COVID-19, and how the new apprentice program with Georgia Plumbing Association could help play a role in the current unemployment crisis. Jerome also discussed Plumb Work’s recent launch of Plumb Works Academy, a free DIY video series that teaches simple plumbing maintenance and repair tips for homeowners.

“You may think ‘why give away your expertise, why give away money’ but in reality, these are very small things,” says Sabol about Plumb Works Academy. “A lot of times we tell people over the phone how to check a few things, so this is really just taking it to the next level. It’s just thinking bigger picture… as long as we have that trust between us, then we should be their plumber. That’s what it’s all about.”

Listen below to learn more about Jerome’s new initiatives to help better serve the greater Atlanta community and provide quality plumbing services.

Lenz on Business” is presented by Lenz, Atlanta's marketing experts since 1992. Tune in live on Saturday nights at 6 p.m. on News 95.5, AM 750 WSB, and WSBRadio.com.

Nothing puts the cold chill on the festive holiday season like a frozen or burst pipe. Frozen pipes are bad enough, but when they burst, the problem worsens and can easily lead to flood damage requiring costly repairs. This all-too-common occurrence affects an estimated 250,000 homes in America each year. And Georgia may be a hot bed for frozen pipes. According to a State Farm report released in 2023, Georgia topped the list of frozen pipe-related losses at $100 million (from August 2002-August 2023.) Plumb Works remains your go-to source for frozen or burst pipe calls in our service area. However, there are some simple tips you can apply to protect pipes in cold weather and help avoid a house call. Before the thermometer dips below freezing – that’s 32 degrees Fahrenheit – do the following:
